The event flowed as follows.
Kai Nagisa/Iczelion (Shiratori Yuri) came out, and Shocker Ohno said that she had a hang over. But Yuri quickly explained. She said that she can't drink much. But the previous day, she drank some wine and got sick.
Kawai Kawai/Silver Iczelion (Amano Yuri) came out and said that it was probably her fault that Shiratori Yuri drank the wine. She had told Yuri that wine tasted good.
Shiina Nami/Black Iczelion (Touma Yumi) came out.
Iijima Kiiro/Gold Iczelion (Nishimura Chinami) came out. Chinami said that it felt good to do this role where she played an idol with a Kansai accent.
Hirano Toshihiro (the director of Iczelion and the Iczer series) came out.
All of the guests sat down and they began their talk session.
Shocker Ohno asked the director some questions about the Iczer series. Hirano said that Iczer started in 1985, so it will be 10 years next year. Shiratori Yuri and Amano Yuri had been around since Iczer 3. They had the same name Nagisa and Kawai. Hirano said that he wanted to keep the same voices because the characters look the same and the name is the same.
Ohno: Are these names that you like? Where they girls you knew in the past?
Hirano: No.
Ohno: How do you come up with these names?
Hirano: With just the image.. It just came to me.
Ohno: How about the new character Iijima Kiiro?
Hirano: That just came to me too.
Ohno: Maybe from Iijima Ai? Or Iijima Mari?
Shiratori: I used to do mimicry of her when I was in junior high.
Ohno: Ok, let's hear it!
Shiratori Yuri was surprised, but she did it anyway. She said, "Hikaru!" with Lin Minmei's voice. Of course this lead to an event full of various voices done by the guest voice actresses! (^_^)
Then someone from the audience yelled out, "Please do Kikuchi Momoko!" [Shiratori Yuri held a solo live event at Waseda university on November 3, and at that event she said that she had done lots of mimicry when she was younger, including Kikuchi Momoko. Kikuchi Momoko is a Japanese idol singer. Yes, I was at that event too, and sat in the second row. (^_^;;)]
So Shiratori Yuri said, "Say yes," with Kikuchi Momoko's voice. Then Shocker Ohno commented that Yuri can be a stage performer. Shiratori Yuri then said, "I was actually thinking of making a group 'Yuris' with Amano Yuri."
The emcee moved on to Touma Yumi and commented that Black Iczelion was a tough character. Touma Yumi said, "It's always that way.."
Then the emcee called out, "Yuri-chan," and both Shiratori Yuri and
Amano Yuri answered.
So the emcee said, "Buurin," and the crowd cheered!
[Shiratori Yuri does the voice of the pink flying pig super hero Buurin,
in the TV series Tonde Buurin.]
Shocker Ohno asked Shiratori Yuri if it was difficult doing the
voice of Kai Nagisa.
Yuri replied, "No, it was fun. I've been doing this a long time.
It's good to do a series thing."
Shocker Ohno asked Nishimura Chinami,
"This character has a Kansai accent. Are you from Kansai?"
Nishimura said, "No, I'm from Tokyo. It was the first time,
so I had Kumagai Niina teach me about speaking with a Kansai accent."
Then the emcee said, "During the OAV, some of you may have noticed,
but when Black Iczelion talked, she looked very calm. But her voice
was very excited. The reason is because the OAV that you saw today
was the version before the retake."
Shocker Ohno asked the voice actresses, "Was it difficult to do the voices
when the pictures are different or incomplete?"
The voice actresses said that most of the pictures had not been done
when they recorded the voices.
Amano Yuri said, "But the transformation scenes were done."
Ohno said, "So we know which part the director really cares about."
Shocker Ohno said, "This anime is full of girls. During the recording it was all females except for Horikawa Ryo. So for some scenes they grabbed the guys who were around in the studio to do some voices. In the Kiiro concert scene, when the fans are yelling and screaming, that "Seino!" is me."
Then they moved onto the question and answer session.
The first question was for Hirano.
Question: About Rayearth, with the way that the story is going now,
it seems like it can only last two kuurus (1 kuuru = 13 episodes).
Hirano: Yes, it seems that way. If you all don't watch it, it will end.
Question: Kawai Kawai didn't have much dialogue, and there wasn't a
transformation scene. Will she have more in episode 2?
Hirano: Yes, in episode 2, she will have lots of lines and a
transformation scene.
Question: The voice actresses for this and previous Iczer anime has
been Shiratori Yuri, Amano Yuri, Shou Mayumi, Touma Yumi.
Was this intentional?
Hirano: No, it just ended up that way.
Question for the voice actresses: How do you feel about the transformation
scenes? Are there other roles in this anime that you would like to do?
Shiratori: I don't have any, but it might be fun to do Kaos.
Amano: I've always done Kawai, so thee isn't any other that I want to do.
But maybe Kiiro-chan seems like fun with the Kansai accent.
[Amano Yuri is from Kyoto.]
Then the fans and Shocker Ohno cut in and they made her say a line as Kiiro. Yuri said with a Kansai accent, "3 tai 1 ja kachime ha naide."
Touma: About the transformation scene, I think it is fan service.
Shiratori: About that transformation, when I say, "No!"
and return to a human, where does that sailor suit come from?
Ohno: In the anime world there is a rule called Devilman's Law
where all of the clothes that had been torn apart returns.
Shiratori: I would like to hear her [Touma Yumi] do Nagisa.
Touma Yumi screamed out, "Mou iyada!" very loudly.
Ohno: You don't do many of these roles. [cute girl roles]
Touma: I want to but I don't get any of these.
Shiratori: I want her to do Buurin. Maybe she'll be better than me.
Touma: Am I supposed to do it cute?
Shiratori: No, you have to throw away all cuteness.
So Shiratori Yuri said the line, "Ai to yuuki no pig girl,
buhitto Buurin ni omakase yo!"
Touma: That's hard, it's almost like, "Tsukini kawatte oshiokiyo!"
Then Touma Yumi said the Buurin line.
Someone from the audience yelled out, "Please do Mocona."
[Mocona is a cute animal in Magic Knight Rayearth that doesn't speak..]
Shiratori: If I do it, please copy it Amano-san.
Shiratori Yuri did the Mocona line, "Pu pu pu puu."
Then Amano Yuri did it too.
Nishimura: I like Kiiro, but maybe Black Iczelion or Kaos might be fun too.
So Nishimura Chinami said the line, "Shiina Nami, Black Iczelion!"
in a "tough" voice.
Then Shocker Ohno asked Chinami to do a line from Choukuseni Narisou.
Chinami did the voice, and the character was called Shiratori Nagisa.
Shocker Ohno said to Shiratori Yuri, "You can retire any time."
As the guests were leaving, Shocker Ohno called Nishimura Chinami back. Since she had to leave for work (voice recording for Choukuseni Narisou) he asked her for her good bye message.
Nishimura Chinami said, "Iczelion is a high quality animation as you have seen, so please watch it. Also please watch Choukuseni Narisou."
