Ibuki Fuuko (°Ë¿áÉ÷»Ò) was a first year high school student.
She didn't have any friends, and she stayed in an empty classroom carving
a starfish (hitode) out of wood.
Fuuko wanted to give the wooden starfish to the students of the school
as a present, hoping that the students would attend her older sister
Kouko's wedding.
Fuuko loved starfish a lot, and went into her own world when she thought
too much about the starfish. This also happened when she saw or thought
of other things that she liked.
Once she went into her own world, she didn't notice anything that took
place around her, and it took a while for her to recover.
Fuuko was very childish and looked very kind, but she also had a very
stubborn personality. She stood firm to her feelings.
Actually, Fuuko was hit by a car while going home on the first day of
high school (2 years ago). She had been hospitalized ever since,
and her sister Ibuki Kouko visited her every day.
So the Fuuko that appeared in school was actually a spirit (with a body).
