10D/D60 performance tests
Even though I had run
benchmarks
with various CF cards that I have,
the only thing that really matters is the answer to the question,
"how fast can I take pictures with my camera?"
Also another important question is,
"how fast can I switch CF cards after it gets full?"
So I did the following simple test to see how fast the D60 and 10D
were with the various CF cards.
- keep the shutter pressed for 30 seconds
- time how many seconds it takes for all the data to be
written out to the CF (after the first 30 seconds)
The camera settings were as follows:
ISO 400, JPEG large/fine, one shot, Manual mode (1/200, F1.8), Manual focus

The results are in the following table.

Canon EOS 10D | PQI 24x 1GB | 32 | 50 sec | 80 sec / 2.50 |
Canon EOS 10D | Lexar 12x 128MB | 32 | 63 sec | 93 sec / 2.91 |
Canon EOS 10D | Ridata 52x 2GB | 31 | 48 sec | 78 sec / 2.52 |

Canon EOS 10D | Transcend 512MB | 30 | 51 sec | 81 sec / 2.70 |
Canon EOS D60 | Transcend 1GB | 29 | 39 sec | 69 sec / 2.38 |
