In addition to the normal games, there have been in game "events" where they award prizes based on the games playing during the event period. The event period is usually around 10 days, and the main prize of the event is a SR card of a certain girl.

Starting with event 73 (May 2016), there have been 2 SR cards per event.

Starting with event 170 (July 2020), there have been 2 SR cards and 1 UR card per event.

The first event took place in May 2013, and since August 2013 there have been two events per month. Currently, one event starts on the 5th and ends on the 15th. The other starts on the 20th and ends on the last day of the month.

There are currently six types of events, normal play, score match, medley festival , challenge festival , osanpo rally, and nakayoshi match.

In the normal play event, you just play as many games as you can, choosing the songs you want to play. You get points depening on your score and combo for each song.

In the score match event, you play in a group of four. The system chooses which song you play, and you compete against three other people. You get points depending on your score and your ranking among the group.

In the medley festival and challenge festival events, you can play a medley of one or more songs.

For all of the events, there are two types of prizes during the event. One is based on how much you play, and the other is based on your final ranking (total score) among all players.

For the play based prizes, you can get certain prizes guaranteed by passing certain targets. The first SR card is available for around 1100 points per day for the normal event, and 2500 points per day for the score match, medley festival, and challenge festival events. To reach this target you need to play the hard or expert level songs for about 18 to 21 hours of life points per day.

For the ranking based prizes, you get prizes depending on your final ranking at the end of the event. To get the second SR card, you need to be in the top 50000 (as of April 2015) [was top 23000 as of May 2014]. You need to play around 40 to 50 hours of life points per day to be within the cut off for the SR card.

Since I wanted to pace myself to get the SR card, I wrote a program to predict the final cut off score for the second SR card .
