Honmaru and Taru were walking home, and they noticed that the river was pretty dirty. Honmaru said that it was because the people were littering.

Later they ran into Jabo and Korekiyo, who just tossed a drink can onto the road. Honmaru picked it up and threw it in the recycle bin.

Then they started fighting in the middle of the street. Iyona came and told them to stop fighting. Then Jabao and Korekiyo pretended to be the victim, and went home with Iyona.

When Honmaru got home, he questioned his mother about doing good things. He said that even if he does good things, bad things happen to him. But his mother told him about "jintoku" (personal good luck). She said that people who do many good things will be lucky, but Honmaru didn't belive her.

Then Taru took out his jintoku seeds, and put it on Honmaru's head. He watered the seeds and a little flower came out. Taru said Honmaru had a little bit of jintoku.

Then Taru tried it on himself, and a much bigger flower came out. Mother said that it was because Taru was always doing good things.

Honmaru was determined to do many good things, and after he did many good things, his flower grew very big and beautiful.

Later at school, lots of good things happened to Honmaru. Even Iyona said that she thought Honmaru was very nice. Then more and more girls gave Honmaru presents. But eventually Hommaru became too proud, and started looking down at everyone.

Then Iyona slapped him and said she hated him. Honmaru tried to prove that he was good, and tried the jintoku seeds again. But this time a giant rotten flower came out of his head.
