Meanwhile Merrybell was looking for work.
Counselor: What kind of work do you want to do?
Merrybell: Something that pays well, is clean, and fashionable. But it can't be far away because I have trouble waking up in the morning. Also it can't be anything that requires a special license. I'm also not very coordinated. I don't want to sit at a desk all day either.

Meanwhile Voogie was looking around in the common people area of town. She heard some guy arguing with his parents. The guy (Anthony) didn't want to take after the parents' store. Then Anthony ran off. Voogie took this opportunity to ask the man of the store for a job. The guy said that making senbe (rice crackers) was difficult and wasn't something that Voogie can do. But Voogie insisted and asked him to teach her.

Merrybell went to a very large and fancy house. She was looking around and was feeling very happy at the surroundings. Merrybell had gotten a job as a maid.

One guy took Merrybell to her new room. It was a small and dark room with just a bed and a desk. Merrybell was give a broom and a bucket. Merrybell had to clean the large mansion and yard all by herself. Then when she was finished with the cleaning, she had to help out with the cooking.

Midi had found the electronic parts to make a communicator. She had found a place to live in the middle of the slum district. When Midi got back to her apartment, she discovered that the door was unlocked. She was sure that she had locked the door. Midi pulled out her gun and went inside. "Don't move!" Midi yelled and pointed the gun at the people inside.

But it was Voogie and Rebecca inside Midi's apartment. Voogie and Rebecca didn't want to return to Strikemyer because it was far away, and also dirty.

Voogie and Rebecca asked Midi to let them stay there until they found a place to stay. Midi said that it was ok.
