My memory of this event is not so good.. (;_;)

The Girls Be live was part of a day long promotional event for a "taxi day", which took place on August 2, 1997 at the Nissan Gallery in Ginza. There was a similar event in Yokohama at the same time, and the guest over there was Yuuseioujo. The Girls Be live took place from 15:00 to 15:30, and the first floor showroom was just big enough to hold around 100 people.

[I went there around 12:00, and got number 81.]

Before the emcee called for them, Machiko started walking out to the stage.. (^_^;)

Machiko was wearing a grey, short sleeve T shirt (round neck), with a dark brown, string tank top (tight) over it, and a long, white dress with light flower designs. She had very high heels (around 10 cm), brown color. Also orange clips in her hair.

Houko was wearing a flower design one piece, with heels (just a few cm). Her hair was straight.

The event flowed as follows.

  • talk
  • Machiko sings "Tsubasa wo Kimi ni"
  • talk
  • Houko sings "Watashi Rashiku"
  • talk
  • Girls Be sings "Mayonaka ni Oideyo"
  • talk

[some of the order of the talk might be in the wrong order]

The emcee asked if Machiko and Houko liked summer. Houko was born in winter, but likes summer. Machiko said that she likes summer now too. When they were kids, both Houko and Machiko played a lot outside. The were like tomboys..

Q: Do you ride taxis often?
Machiko said that she has a little bit more money now, so she does ride taxis occasionally. Houko said that she didn't ride it much. Machiko is usually scared, but the other day it was a female driver so she was happy. She wishes there were more female drivers.

Machiko sang "Tsubasa wo Kimi ni", a song from the game Dark Savior. She said that she made up the movements in the morning. It was a very nice song, as was Machiko's movements.

There was some more talk.

Then Houko sang "Watashi Rashiku". Houko said that it was a hard song. Also she didn't move much when she sang.

There was some more talk.

Then Machiko and Houko sang "Mayonaka ni Oideyo", with the same "cute" movements as before (previous events).

After the song, the emcee asked, "That was French, what were you saying?"
Houko: I don't know.

There was some more talk.

They talked about each other.

Machiko: [I forgot what she said about Houko.]

Houko: Can i talk about yesterday?
Then Houko explained some of the "boke" things that Machiko did the previous day, at their book signing event.

After Machiko used her curler in the restroom, she couldn't figure out why it was still hot.. Houko pointed out that it was still plugged in.

They got presents for both of them from some fans. Machiko unwrapped it, and handed Houko the wrapping..
