Sunday 94 Summer Genki Matsuri
The "Sunday 94 Summer Genki Matsuri" took place on 1994.08.15 at Yakult Hall. (Since it's summer vacation, there are lots of events on weekdays..) I sent a couple postcards to get into this event, but I didn't win. But fortunately a friend had an extra ticket. It seemed like everyone who won got two tickets. Yakult Hall can only seat around 570 people, so there were probably close to 300 winners. They were going to let people into the hall at 13:00, so I went at 12:00. There were around 100 people there already. [The first person to line up came at 5:00.] At 13:00, they started letting the people in. Since they were running a camera and tape recorder check, the line moved slowly. However, they handed out packets to everyone. Inside the packet was a Ranma/GS Mikami T-shirt! Also an advertisement scroll (for the Ranma/GS Mikami/Bow movies) and spiritual gem (from GS Mikami) were inside. I got pretty good seats, 7th row. The hall was not full, and there were quite a few empty seats in the back. At 14:00, the event began. Shimazu Saeko came out and introduced the Sunday Genki Matsuri. This was the third year that she had been emceeing this event. After a little while, Saeko introduced the special guest, Hayashibara Megumi. The following three things were shown.
Between each movie, Saeko and Megumi came out and talked for a little bit. At the end, they announced that 50 people had win cards inside the packets that everyone got. I didn't have it, but the two people that I was with did have it. Those 50 people got Ranma 1/2 cels as presents.
