The public recording event for the radio show Iwao Junko's Shou Comi Night took place on August 10 at the Mitsukoshi Department Store in Nihonbashi. It was on the main stage on the roof, so it was open to anybody. However the first several rows were reserved for those who got tickets by sending in to the radio show.

The emcee for the event was Otakki Sasaki, who had dyed his hair blond recently.

Junko came out wearing a yukata! The yukata was blue (I think) and Junko's hair was tied up.

Junko sang Makenai Weekend, just the first verse. (Makenai Weekend is the OP song to Shou Comi Night.)

    Junko read some letters.

Junko was going to play her keyboard, but they had some technical problems, so they took some questions from the audience.

Someone asked about her hamsters, and Junko said that she keeps the air conditioner on in her room all the time. The hamsters can't survive in the heat. Right now, Guu-chan is 45 grams and Koro-chan is 43 grams.

Junko said that she did the emcee for the Turbo Ranger show on the same Mitsukoshi stage many years ago.

After they fixed the problems, Junko played the keyboard and sang the happy birthday song. They asked for people in the audience whos birthday was that day, and asked them to stand on the stage. Also Shibahara Chiyako and Nagasawa Miki (two of Junko's seiyuu friends from Key the Metal Idol) came onto the stage. They were both wearing yukatas too.

Then she sang some of the lyrics that the listeners sent in for her hamster song. Junko announced that they made a special "not for sale" CD which has her hamster song. It has several versions of the hamster song, march version, ballad version, and even Guu-chan ondo (traditional Japanese style dance). They played the Guu-chan ondo, and Junko and everyone in the audience danced..

Junko asked whether she should sing the hamster song at her summer concert. Everyone yelled out that she should, so she said that she would.

Then as a special guest, the manga artist Yabuuchi Yuu came. She had a signing session at 12:00 in the same building, and she had just finished that. They talked for a while about Mizuiro Jidai, and took some questions from fans.

Then Junko did the drawing for the present.. which was her hamster song CD. Everyone who attended was given a fan, which had a picture of Guu-chan, probably drawn by Junko. On the back of the fan, it had one of the letters "少", "コ", "ミ", "ナ", "イ", "ト". ("shou", "ko", "mi", "na", "i", "to") Junko pulled out the "イ", so everyone who had that won the CD. [I had "ト".]

At the end of the event, Junko sang Shutter Chance no Renzoku, but not as lively as usual because Junko was wearing a yukata.
