    • Report version 0.6 by Hitoshi Doi, 1996.04.14

On March 31, there was a charity auction event at the Mitsukoshi department store in Nihonbashi. The charity was for the victims of the Hanshin earthquake. This event was in the open, so everybody was allowed to participate. But pictures were not allowed this year.

There were not as many people as last year, but there were several hundred people.

    The event flowed as follows.

    • rehearsal (30 minutes before the event.. ^_^)
    • song, talk
    • auction

    song, talk

At the beginning, there was an introduction of all of the guests. The emcee was Hazuki Masako.

Kamiya Akira announced that last year's event raised 459,331 yen, in which around 150,000 yen came from the auction, and the rest from individual contributions.

The first song was done by Shocker Ohno and Nozawa Masako. Shocker Ohno sang We Gotta Power (Dragonball Z), and Masako talked in Goku and Goten's voices during the interlude.

After the song, they talked a little bit, and Masako said that she will have a radio show starting soon (10 minutes per day). It will be Nozawa Masako's first radio show in Tokyo.

Next Yamaguchi Kappei (and his son) came to bring some presents for the auction. Kappei had come to the department store to do shopping with his son (3 or 4 years old).

The next song was by Fukami Rica. She sang Moon Revenge (Sailor Moon R movie). Rica added "Venus star power, make up!" during the song.

After the song, Rica and Hazuki Masako talked for a while.

Masako: It must be hard doing a long series like Sailor Moon.
Rica: It's because of the fans. We are very thankful to the fans. Earlier this year, there was a time when there was a substitute for Venus. Some of you might have noticed. I injured my vocal chords and I couldn't talk for two weeks. I couldn't work. I couldn't do any daily conversation. I went to London during the new year holiday, and there were some rumors going around that I got sick and stuck in London. That's not true.

Rica also said that she will be in a stage play on 4/10 to 4/14. It will be the first time in six years that she was doing a play.

The next song was by Tange Sakura, who was wearing a very cute one piece dress, with a pretty short skirt that was blowing around in the wind.. (blowing around, not up) Sakura sang I Need You.

The next song was by Kasahara Rumi, who sang Plug Up, which was the OP song to the game Touhou Chin'yuuki. This song was only used for the OP, so it was only 1:30 long.

The next song was by Tomizawa Michie. Before singing the song, Gakuen Tengoku, she rehearsed the yells and cheers with the crowd. (This rehearsal took much longer than the real song..) Then when she was going to sing the song, she made everyone stand up.

After the song, Michie talked about some of her professional wrestler friends who were Sailor Moon friends. She went with three of them to see the Sailor Moon musical in Ikebukuro. They even shouted out and cheered during the musical, which made all of the little girls in the audience turn and look.

The next guests were the young seiyuu. Ichijou Kazuya, Hitomi, Oda Michiko, and Enomoto Mikiko came out for a talk show.

The next guest was Iwasaki Kazuo, an announcer (radio personality) on AM Kobe. He talked a little about the current situation in Kobe.

The next song was by Kanemaru Jun'ichi. He sang Winners, a song from Cyber Formula.

After the song, Jun'ichi said that he will have an essay collection coming out. Also he will be in the new TV anime Jigoku Sensei Nuube.

The next song was by Ikezawa Haruna. She sang Kaze wo Tsukamaete, a song from Let's and Go.

The next song was by Yoshida Konami. She sang Yume Iro no Tsubasa, a song from Magic Knight Rayearth.

The next songs were by Yukino Satsuki and Furukawa Takako. They sang two children's songs.

The final song was by Kamiya Akira. He sang Taiyou no Namida.

After the song, Akira announced that the City Hunter special at new years was very popular, and that they have decided to do another one next year. Also there will be a Yawara special anime this summer, as Yawara goes to the Atlanta Olympics.
