Oda Chieri held her first street live in Akihabara on October 31, 2005. A street live is where anyone just sings on the open street. It's usually not allowed, and the police do come and chase people away often. But there are many street lives near major train stations in Tokyo, such as Shinjuku, Shibuya, Akihabara. There are many street lives in Akihabara every Sunday.

In the past it was usually amateurs or young people just singing to express themselves. But now, most of the singers are semi-pro or pros, and they're singing to sell their CDs or sell tickets to their events in live houses or just become more famous.

Chieri arrived in Akihabara around 13:30, pulling her yellow speaker on a cart and carrying a mike stand. She was joined by Miyazawa Yuana, a singer in the same production as Chieri.

I don't know what time Chieri started singing, (as I was trying to get into a different event in Akihabara at that time..) but when I started looking on the street, Chieri was already singing. She said she sang six songs, and I caught the last two songs. Chieri said that she was going to sing again at around 15:30. I caught all six songs, plus two extra songs, of the second session.

Although Chieri sang two sessions this day, this wasn't a "real" street live, as she said this was just a "scouting" live to see if she would be able to do it. Chieri said that her first "real" street live will be 11/13.

Chieri posted on her BBS that she sang the following songs.

ボンボヤージュ, おだっちぇ@ネバーランド, 缶けり, チェリーキャンディ, nachu☆nachu, カゲボウシ

I used my 20D and 24-105 F4L IS lens, and ended up with 143 photos worth keeping. It was a very cloudy day so it wasn't that bright out, but it was fine during the first session. But during the late session, I started using flash as it got too dark.
