The Shouwakusei Idol Photo Session took place on November 25, 2007. Shouwakusei Idol was a group of minor idols from the late night TV show Daisan Wakusei Idol, that aired from 2006.10.07 to 2007.09.29.

This photo session was a special birthday event for Nanto Manami and Narita Yuko, as their birthdays were in November.

The first session was a swim suit photo session. Yuka and Yuko wore swimsuits, but Manami wore a gothic lolita outfit.

The second session was a street clothes photo session. All three girls wore their street clothes.

The third session was a cosplay photo session. Manami wore a high school girl outfit, Yuka wore a waitress outfit, and Yuko wore a maid outfit.

I participated in the second and third sessions. I went to take photos of Nanto Manami, and I had never seen Yuka or Yuko before this event. There were around 10 people who participated.

In each session, there was around 15 minutes for each girl, and 15 minutes for the three girls as a group. All the photos were taken against a white paper background, except for Manami's school girl session. That was taken in a setting with several school desks.

After the photo session, there was also a Shouwakusei Off-line meeting from 17:00 to 19:00 at Ikebukuro Pasela (10000 yen), but I didn't participate in that.

photo notes

I took 263 photos with my 20D and 24-105mm F4L IS zoom, with 215 of them worth keeping.

The number of photos per girl was as follows.

Nanto Manami 84
Kawamoto Yuka 66
Narita Yuko 28
all three 37

This was the first time I went to Ochanomizu Mia Studio. There were two rooms. The small room had a fancy bed and a few fancy chairs. That room wasn't used in this photo session. The largest room had several school desks, a locker, and a chalk board. This room also had a few rolled paper backgrounds for taking simple flat color background photos.

The studio had a flash with a light sensor, so I used that in addition to my 550EX flash.
