There was a promotion event for the Otasuke Girl DVD on the beach at Yuigahama Beach (in Kanagawa). It was free and open for anyone, but since the weather was bad (cloudy/raining and not so warm), the beach itself was pretty deserted. Usually at this time, the beach would be so packed that you couldn't move..

Luckily the weather held up during the evnet. It started raining after the event ended.

I took 410 pictures with my 10D, with only 205 of them worth keeping. Since I didn't want to bring my good lenses to the beach, I only brought my 300mm F4L and 28-105mm F3.5-4.5 lenses. Also since I wasn't 100% sure that they allowed pictures, I didn't bring my monopod.. Big mistake. Since I was using the flash, the 10D could only synch at 1/200. So the shutter speed was too slow for the 300mm lens (which becomes the equivalent of 480mm with the 10D). There were MANY blurred shots. (;_;)

I had forgotten how to turn the flash into FP (high speed synchro) mode. After getting home and reading the manual, I figured it out. Next time, I should be able to use shutter speeds above 1/200..
