Nanbara Koutarou (南原耕太郎) was a very rich childhood rival of Kazuya, and he always tried to compete with the poor Kazuya in everything. But he always lost even though he always spent more money and got the "better" things. His goal in life was to try to make Kazuya suffer.

Koutarou's voice is done by Ueda Yuuji (上田祐司).
