The first Kaitou Saint Tail Seiyuu Collection event took place on 1996.05.08 at the Shibuya Kouen Doori Gekijou. This hall was a small stage that seated around 200 to 250 people. The stage is low (ground level), and the first row seats are about 1 meter away from the stage. The hall is wide, but not very deep.

Sakurai Tomo talk

The emcee for the event was Punch UFO, a comedian. Sakurai Tomo came onto the stage in a short, orange, flashy one-piece. She had a black ribbon in her hair, very similar to Saint Tail. She also wore very high heels (over 10 cm).

Tomo and Punch UFO sat on tall chairs on the stage.

Tomo talked about Kaitou Saint Tail.

They showed the video that was aired in the one hour Saint Tail special (episodes 23, 24) where they followed Sakurai Tomo during the day. It had scenes of Saint Tail after recording (with various seiyuu), and also Tomo rehearsing for the Saint Tail musical.

There will be a country wide Saint Tail musical this summer. Sakurai Tomo will play the part of Meimi/Saint Tail.

Yuuseioujo skit

There was a series of short comedy skits by the group Yuuseioujo (遊星王女), three young girls who were in the same production as Sakurai Tomo.

Sakurai Tomo sang Koi Mitaina Kanji, a Saint Tail image song, and Waracchaukedo Suki!, from her new album Cherry.

Sakurai Tomo, Inoue Kikuko talk

The special seiyuu guest today was Inoue Kikuko. Kikuko was wearing a long white one piece, with a black, lacy cardigan over it, short white socks, black shoes, and a black string ribbon around her neck.

Kikuko came out holding a big stuffed Ruby doll, and gave it to Tomo. Kikuko even said, "Kyuu, kyuu." (just like Ruby)

Another chair was brought out, and Kikuko sat down. On the stage from left to right, it was Kikuko, Punch UFO, and Tomo.

Tomo and Kikuko talked a little about Saint Tail.

There was a Saint Tail CD single coming out on May 25, where Tomo and Kikuko sing as Meimi and Seira. They played a short part of the song E Yume, Miyou! which was a upbeat song.

Kikuko talked about being a fish in her past life.

As everyone was entering the hall, they had passed out a question form where they could write a question for Sakurai Tomo. They chose some of the questions and read them out.

They had 5 large, signed (Tomo and Kikuko) Saint Tail posters, and 5 normal, signed (Tomo) Saint Tail posters as presents. They put the question forms in a box and Tomo pulled them out to determine the winners.

All of the guests (Tomo, Kikuko, and Yuuseioujo) came out onto the stage to say good-bye.

Kikuko said that a policeman had stopped her the other day. She was scared, but it just turned out that the policeman was a fan.

stuff in the lobby

They were selling Saint Tail videos, LDs, CDs, and musical tickets in the lobby.

I bought a Saint Tail CD advertisement poster for 3800 yen. The left half of the poster has Saint Tail and Seira, the right half of the poster has Sakurai Tomo and Inoue Kikuko. It came with Saint Tail video volume 1. (^_^;)
