Kaitou Saint Tail Seiyuu Collection - 1996.05.15
The second Kaitou Saint Tail Seiyuu Collection event took place on 1996.05.15 at the Shibuya Kouen Doori Gekijou. The first event took place the previous week. This time I sat in the fourth row, to the right of the stage. There were a lot more people this week than last week, as there were people who had to stand. The flow of the event was as follows.
Sakurai Tomo song/talkSakurai Tomo came out, yelled, "It's show time!" and sang Koi Mitaina Kanji, a Saint Tail image song. Tomo was wearing a white, long sleeve T-shirt, cut short so her stomach is showing. She also had jeans with heart shaped holes on the right leg (thigh, knee, shin), and white boots. There was a handkerchief sticking out of her back pocket. Tomo's hair was tied up in the back.After the song, Tomo and the emcee (Punch UFO, a comedian) talked about Saint Tail. Tomo: Seira and Ruby are the only ones who know that Meimi is Saint Tail. I wonder what will happen at the end. Also I wonder what will happen between Meimi and Asuka Jr. Tomo: I always sit next to Kikuko in the studio. She's on my right. She's always eating. But I eat a lot too. But Kikuko has the nickname okashi champion (champion of snacks). Tomo: There will be a CD single on sale 5/25. The two songs are E Yume Miyou and Koi. Then they played a little bit of E Yume Miyou. There will also be a vocal collection coming out on 7/1. Tomo will sing two solo songs, one duet with Asuka Jr, and one duet with Seira. Then they did a Saint Tail after recording. Tomo did the voice of Meimi, and Punch UFO did the voice of Asuka Jr. Tomo: Saint Tail is my 5th TV anime. My first was Dragon League. It's a story about dinosaurs and soccer. It used to be on in the afternoon, but then it got moved to very early morning. Saint Tail will become a musical starting 7/26. They will go to around 30 places all over Japan, from Hokkaidou to Okinawa. Tomo: The last musical will be in Okinawa, and I hope I have time to go swimming.

Sakurai Tomo talkAfter the skit, Tomo came out to talk again.Tomo was the fourth child in her family, and she was born 1971.09.10. Tomo's top row of drawers has socks, underwear, and underwear. Tomo: When I was little (in kindergarten), I was close to my mother, but I would cry if I saw my father. Tomo: I liked anpan ever since I was little. I always asked for anpan when I got home from kindergarten. One day my father yelled at me: You're so fat because you eat anpan all the time! Then I stopped eating anpan. Tomo: Ever since I was little, I was fast at running. Everyone in our family was fast at running. Tomo: I started basketball in 4th grade. I played for 6 years. I started working when I was in high school, so I couldn't play on the team. Tomo: I've been running for around 10 years. I run almost every day, and on the days that I can't run, I feel pressured. I think I run so that I can eat anpan. There were lots of press people there: Animage, Seiyuu GPX, Voice Animage, Newtype, Animedia, Heartful Voice, Virtual Idol, Voice Gallery, Megu. Also the Internet Sakurai Tomo ML. [Mr. Haneoka was sitting next to me.. ^_^;] Tomo: I'll be on the cover of the Seiyuu GPX that goes on sale 7/10.
Tomo: My first love was in kindergarten. His name was Oikawa Hiroyuki.
Tomo: There was a boy I liked in primary school, and I gave him a chocolate on Valentine's Day. I snuck it into his bag, but I didn't write my name on it.

Sakurai Tomo, Nagasaki Moe talkThe guest this week was Nagasaki Moe, a second year seiyuu/stage actress who was in the same production as Tomo. Nagasaki Moe was wearing a blue and white checkered one-piece, which was short, above knee level. VERY CUTE!Moe was doing a radio show (Cherry Princess) with Tomo. She will be in the new Gall Force in the role of Catty. Tomo will also be in it, but she didn't remember which role. Moe will also be in the Saint Tail musical, as one of Meimi's classmates. Moe is from Aichi, and it was only two years since she came to Tokyo.

Sakurai Tomo questions/presents/songTomo fielded some questions (written on a questionnaire before the event began).Then she drew for prizes. There were some signed Saint Tail posters, and lots of Saint Tail toys/goods. At the end, Tomo sang Waracchaukedo Suki!
