Everyone who bought both Fushigi na Omajinai and True Fish at Yamagiwa in Akihabara got a ticket to participate in the Inoue Kikuko Otanoshimikai.

They passed out tickets to everyone who bought them on October 20, the day the CD and LD/VHS went on sale. They initially said that 100 people would be allowed to go to the event, but the tickets weren't numbered, and they passed out more than 100! So it was necessary to very early on the day of the event. (;_;)

Actually they made it two events instead of one, so they increased the number of people to 200. But they had already passed out more than 200 tickets!

I won't go into details.. but I was able to go to both events, with ticket numbers 19 and 4! (Good thing I had bought 3 CDs, 1 LD, and 2 videos. ^_^;)

    The event flowed as follows.

    • Video-chan, a 15 minute video made out of scenes that didn't make it into True Fish.
    • talk show, quiz corner, question corner
    • handshake session

highlights of the event (first session)

    • Kikuko was wearing a yellow and blue muumuu. She also had a lei on her head. Kikuko said that they had 8 muumuus at home, for her mother, her sister, and herself.
    • They had prepared a head set (with mike) for Kikuko, but she didn't want to put it on. She said that she felt more comfortable with a hand held mike.
    • Video-chan
      • This video was made up of clips that were not approved by Kikuko to be put into the True Fish video. It was around 15 minutes.
      • "Tsukini kawatte, oshiokiyo!"
        「月にかわって, おしおきよ!」
    • Sunday's father is Yonday (ヨンデー), grandfather is Matsugorou (松五郎).
    • Wendenyan's girl friend's name is Nagoya-chan. If they have puppies, Kikuko wants to name it Yuki-chan.
    • When somebody asked Kikuko is there was something funny had happened recently, she said that something had happened the previous day. But Kikuko couldn't remember.
    • Usa-P and Wendenyan came out for the handshake session.

highlights of the event (second session)

    • There will be a Kikuko picture collection (or book) coming out next year by Newtype, so there was a cameraman there.
    • Kikuko made up and sang a lot of songs.
    • Kikuko wants to give Wendenyan a bath, as he had never taken a bath before.
    • When asked where the "young" Kikuko used to play, Kikuko said that she went home right after school and just played near her house.
    • Kikuko said that Alta was in Shibuya.
    • Pauline is not human. She's a princess from Ramen Planet, which is very close to star M78.
    • When asked, "Have you ever listened to your own radio show?" Kikuko answered, "Yes, sometimes I laugh along, but most of the time I reflect on the things I did wrong."

    • Kikuko signed her name and drew a large picture of a manbou and a choki no kami-sama on the wall. This was the first ever event in this room, and they were going to have all of the guests sign their names on the wall.
    • They held the drawing for Usa-P. Someone from Osaka won it.
