Do Don' Pa! Live Stage Tomo Natsu 97 in Odaiba
Sakurai Tomo's annual summer concert was held at an outdoor concert area in Odaiba on August 2. It wasn't a real concert area, but more like a giant parking lot with a huge stage. They also gave away more than 5000 tickets to this for free. They let in at 16:30, and the concert didn't start until 18:00. While everyone was waiting, they played the video of Tomo's spring concert on the giant TV screens. A simple diagram of the concert area is as follows.
Each block had around 250 seats. I was in the first row of block D4. The stage was huge. there were a lot of lights, lots of flowers, and walls of huge speakers. There were two large TV screens on both sides of the stage, and one large TV screen in the center of the stage. The middle area had sound and lighting equipment. There were lots of camera and cranes taking videos of the concert. They will release a video/LD of this concert. As always, there were a lot of Sakurai Tomo goods on sale. Some of the goods had Nagasaki Moe and Yuuseioujo pictures too. It was still a little bright when the concert started, and it didn't get dark until around 19:00. The crowd was stood up as soon as Tomo came on stage, and didn't sit down until the end.. The song list was as follows.
Some non-Tomo highlights.. Yuuseioujo came out wearing swimsuits (Asobi wearing red, Hisoka wearing blue) and sang Umi he Iku Bus. Nagasaki Moe wore a blue yukata with a red and white checkered obi. She didn't move much when she sang. She sang Kaeri Michi, her second single which goes on sale 9/21. This was a slow song. For Tomo's Ice Blue Eyes, Moe, Yuuseioujo, and other girls dressed up in ninja outfits. There were more than 10 back dancers.
