Nakagawa Akiko signing and handshake session
This was a rather hurriedly put-together event, as they only started advertising it a few days beforehand. I picked up Winter Tales, a mini-CD for 1835 yen, and got #45 two days before the event. Tickets were still being offered on the day of the event. At around 14:00, the Animate staff started leading people around to another building around back where the actual event was taking place. They announced that people who brought a camera would be allowed to have one picture taken with them and Akiko! I didn't have a camera, but one of my friends from various Toyoshima Machiko events had one, and let me borrow his to take our picture. I spent a little over a minute with Akiko. I can't remember what she was wearing, but in person she looks a lot like she does in magazines and on her CDs. Pretty quiet, conversation never really got past the "Where are you from?" stage. But she was nice, and gave a nice pose for the picture, taken by another staff member. I look forward to seeing it...
