This was the 96th broadcast of 8 Beat Story News. The hosts were Nomura Maiko and Morishita Rana. Maiko and Rana were wearing the new 8 Beat Story T-shirts. In the first corner, they talked about their group 2_wEi. They felt like they hadn't done a 2_wEi broadcast in a while. Maiko said that she is living by herself now, for about 6 months. She didn't know that she had to change the filters for the air conditioner, as she had never done it when she was living at home. Rana said that she recently changed hers, with help from a friend. Maiko and Rana went on a trip to Wakayama prefecture. They will have events on 10/28, 10/29, and 11/17 for the DVD release, Maicha Ranacha no 2_wEi Tabi in Wakayama Hatsubai Kinen Event in Gamers Akihabara. Then they showed a short video (around 2 minutes). Then the staff brought out the drinking glasses that they made at the glass factory. At the end they played a quiz game there pulled a topic out of a box, and they both had to answer. They had to match their answers.
