The hosts for the May 8, 2017 broadcast of Animemashite were Fujita Akane and Ohmori Nichika.

The guest was the band "The Peggies", that sings the ending song to the TV anime Boruto.

There was a 7 minute video interview of Komatsu Mikako. Mikako sings this month's opening song to this show. She will also release a new album "Blooming Maps" on 5/10. This is her first album in three years.

For the ending, Nichika asked Akane to do a special voice. This was the second week for Akane and Nichika They were also the hosts the previous week.
