    This is my main desktop computer, pooky. It may seem like pooky.usagi.org is this computer, but it's not. I am not allowing direct access from the outside world to this computer.

    Fan Master SF-609

    This is the front of the computer. There is a fan controller Fan Master SF-609 in the top bay, a DVD drive, and two hard disks.

    The Fan Master SF-609 can display four temperatures, and control four fans.

    The side of the case has a clear acrylic window so you can see inside.

    The top of the case also has a clear acrlyic window. There is a 8cm fan with blue LEDs attached to the top window.

    On the left is the 12cm fan with red, green, and blue LEDs. This fan can go from 1260 to 1950 RPM.
    This is at the rear of the case, blowing air out of the case.

    On the right are the two 8cm fans with orange LEDs. These fans can go from 1400 to 2700 RPM.
    These are at the front of the case, blowing air at the data hard disks.

    Pooky is running Fedora 8 x86_64 (64bit linux), but I had a lot of problems getting this computer running.

    The first power supply that I tried (Skytec SKP-520PC/V) died. I got an identical replacement, but the motherboard killed that too. Then I switched to a different power supply (Topower TOP-400P5 EZ), and it finally became stable. This motherboard seems to dislike the Skytec power supply..

    When I had the DVD-ROM drive (A Open DVD1648L) attached, I got "kernel: Disabling IRQ #16" messages, and my video card (GeForce 8400GS) started having problems. Since I disconnected the DVD-ROM drive, I've had no problems with X.
