  • Bandai (TGS 1999 Autumn)

Bandai had a combined booth of Bandai, Banpresto, and Bandai Visual. Until now, they had three separate booths.

They had many stage events, but the only ones with seiyuu were the following (I think).

    Friday 9/17
14:00 Kira Kira Melody Gakuen around 50 young seiyuu
    Saturday 9/18
16:30 Kira Kira Melody Gakuen around 50 young seiyuu
    Sunday 9/19
10:30 Kira Kira Melody Gakuen around 50 young seiyuu
12:30 Kira Kira Melody Gakuen around 50 young seiyuu
15:00 Super Robot series Kamiya Akira

I went to the Kira Kira Melody Gakuen event on 9/18 and 9/19 (10:30). Both were pretty crowded, and they allowed pictures. But since they made everyone stand up, only the people in the first few rows were able to take good pictures. I was pretty far back on 9/18, so I couldn't get many good pictures that day. But on 9/19, I went there first thing in the morning, so I got a front row position. (^_^)

The event was called Kira Kira Melody Gakuen Second Semester Commencement Cermony event. The event lasted around 20 minutes.

All the girls came out wearing the blue seifuku and sang Kira Kira Melody Gakuen Theme.

Then two sub groups Heart Chu (Tsuchiya Mieko, Shintani Sayaka, Takahira Jun) and Dear Me (Hinano Mayo, Tanabe Miri, Ohgoshi Tomoe, Kimura Ikue, Minano Fuuko) sang (and danced) one song each. These girls didn't wear the seifuku, and wore outfits like jpop groups.

Then the producers of Kira Kira Melody Gakuen came out and talked about future plans. There will be a couple Kira Kira Melody Gakuen games coming out for the Playstation 2. Also a radio show will begin in October.

At the end, all the girls came out wearing the blue seifuku, and sang Odoru Houkago to end the event.

The two songs sung by everyone were cute idolish songs, but the two songs by the sub groups were fast jpop type songs.

In the Bandai booth, there was a display of the Card Captor Sakura game for the Wonder Swan. It was shown as 80% complete. They were also passing out a free magazine called Dengeki Wonder Swan.
