2nd Ani Raji Festival
The second Ani Raji Festival took place on August 23, 1998 at the Suginami Koukaidou Hall in Ogikubo. The event was planned to start at 14:00, but it started 20 minutes late. This was a very long event, made up of three parts (which could have easily been events by themselves).
introductionAt the beginning of the event, everyone came out onto the stage one by one. First, it was the seiyuu from the Radio ROM CDs. They were all wearing yukata. Yoshida Konami was wearing a pink one with a blue obi. Araki Kae was wearing a red one with a white obi. Toyoshima Machiko was wearing a pink yukata with purple flowers, and a yellow obi. Natsuki Rio was wearing a red one with a yellow obi. Koorogi Satomi was wearing a yellow one with a red obi. Kanai Mika was wearing a black one with a pink obi. Yuuki Hiro was wearing a dark blue (or black) yukata. Hiramatsu Akiko was wearing a yellow on with a purple obi.Then the Radish Rox members were introduced. Asada Yoko, wearing a white t-shirt, Okada Kanako, Shibahara Chiyako, and Yoshida Tomomi came out. They also called out Machiko's name, but Machiko was already on stage. Then the Voice of Wonderland group came out: Inoue Kikuko, wearing a white shirt, black tank top, and long white dress, and Kamiya Hiroshi.
Radio ROMThe first part of the event was the Radio ROM event, and they did a mock Radio ROM Punch show (Punch is the Radio ROM Internet show). They set up a table in the middle of the stage, and pairs of seiyuu acted as the hosts of the show. They also drew 8 fans from the crowd to judge the groups, to determine which group will be the winner (the winning group will become the new hosts of the Radio ROM Punch broadcasts).The first group was Hiro and Mika. They talked for a few minutes, like the opening of Radio ROM Punch. Then it was Konami and Kae. Then Machiko and Satomi, and Rio and Akiko. After all the groups finished, the 8 judges picked which group they liked best. The results were as follows.
So Akiko and Rio were going to become new the personalities of Radio ROM Punch, starting September. Then they had a free talk corner, where they drew cards from a table. All of the questions were related to Radio ROM, and the recordings for it. Each seiyuu (or group) had a chance to go travel somewhere for a recording. Machiko said that she liked her digital theater corner where she writes the stories herself. Satomi said that she is finally learning how to use the digital camera. Then at the end of the Radio ROM section, all of the seiyuu except for Machiko came out to say a final message. Then there was a 15 minute break.
Radix RoxAt around 16:00, the Radish Rox portion of the event began.The five seiyuu came out onto the stage to sing Way to Go. Machiko, Chiyako, Kanako, and Tomomi were in the back row, and Yoko was in front singing the lead vocals. Machiko wore a black shirt, with a white short sleeve jacket over it, and white long pants. She had her hair in two pony tails off side with flower ribbons. After the song, they introduced themselves and talked for a little bit. Tomomi said that this was her first Radish Rox event. Then they sang Kienai Yuuki. There was some more talk after that, and they sang Kaze no Fuku Machi and My Energy to close their portion of the event. Then there was another 15 minute break.
Voice of WonderlandThe Voice of Wonderland public recording began around 17:00. Inoue Kikuko came out wearing her pink nurse outfit! Kamiya Hiroshi, the main personality, wore casual clothes.They said that they usually recorded around 55 minutes of talk non-stop, for this 60 minute radio show. Kikuko had her papers for the broadcast, but she dropped it and got the pages all shuffled.. But Kikuko eventually got the pages arranged, and they started the event. During the show, Sakaguchi Daisuke came as a guest, as Kikuko went off stage to change clothes. Kikuko came back wearing a purple yukata. Then after Daisuke left, Kawai Kenji (musician) came as a guest. I had to leave at 17:45, so I missed everything after that.. (;_;)
goods in the lobbyThere had many tables set up in the lobby to sell various related goods. They had Ani Raji Grand Prix volume 14, a few days before it would go on sale at the bookstores. There were also some Ani Raji goods.They also had the Radish Rox CDs and telephone cards.
