Venus Project Megameeting June 2016
On June 5, 2016, the third Venus Project Megameeting event took place at Club Seata in Kichijoji. There were two sessions, at 14:00 and 18:00. This was the third of three Megameeting events, in April, May, and June. There were more people for this event than the previous ones, with around 150 to 200 people. I got a 4th row, left side position for the afternoon session, and 4th row, almost center, slightly left side for the night session. At the beginning of the event, there were some announcements by Ruka Sovagasky (Iida Riho). There were pictures of Ruka on the screen at the back of the stage, and photos were allowed for just this part. Riho just talked, but didn't appear on the stage. The emcee for this event was Hayase Marika. Both events were similar, but there were some differences. This event was different from the two previous events, in that there was much more of the live (song) portion, and not much of the talk part.
All of the girls wore the white outfits, same as the previous events. Riho also wore the white oufit, with purple trim. For the first session, Sawako's hair was in a pony tail in the back. She also had two braids on the sides. Riho had her hair in two pig tails. For the second session, everyone changed their hairstyles. Sawako put her hair in twin tails. Riho and Rui both had their hair in ponytails with ribbons. Riho's ribbon was blue and pink, Rui's ribbon was blue. The event opened with two songs, "Venus Drive" and "Yume no Tsubasa". Then after some introductions and a short talk by the seiyuu, they went to the solo live corner. All seven guests sang one song each, and they all sang different songs in the first and second sessions. Sawako sang "Jump" and "Natsukoi Hajimemashita" (²ÆÎø¥Ï¥¸¥á¥Þ¥·¥¿). Both were character songs for other characters that Sawako had never sung before at an event. The next corner was "Venus Survey". For the first session, the question was "who is best suited to be a prime minister?" and Sawako won. The next corner was the unit live corner. Everyone sang various songs in pairs or threes. Most of the songs also had some new choreographed dances. Yuuka was the one who thought up the dances for all the songs. The final song in this corner was "Tenshi no Ichigeki", and this was sung by everyone. After the live corner, there were some announcements about Venus Project by the producer. They announced that there will be new Venus Project events on August 20, September 24, and October 23. Then there were some final messages by all the seiyuu. The event ended after two more songs, "Yume no Tsubasa" and "Venus Drive". The event was around 2 hours each. The songs for the two sessions were as follows.
The high touch session started about 5 minutes after the event ended. Everyone except Nakanishi Yuuka participated in the high touch session. After the high touch session of the night session, the girls handed out the megami kuji present T-shirts.
They had started selling goods at around noon, and gave out 1 high touch ticket per 2000 yen spent. They also sold goods between the two sessions, and after each event. The CD Gekkan Voice Venus Project Vol.2 went on sale at this event.
