Hoshino Kenta (星野健太) was a classmate of Saki and Mai, in class 2B at Yuunagi Junior High. He was a long time childhood friend of Saki, and he teased Saki a lot. Kenta's dream was to become a comedian.

Although everyone kept telling him his jokes weren't funny, Kenta kept trying to be a comedian. He also wanted to find a partner for his comedy act. His classmate Miyasako reluctantly agreed, and they started doing comedy acts together.
