Usada Hikaru was by a bookshelf, with her rabbit ear stuck between the shelves. The boy helped her out. Hikaru introduced herself (14 years old). The boy said he was 14 years old too. He thought Hikaru was "normal", except for the dice in her hair.

The boy told Hikaru that he was looking for some trading cards. Then Hikaru took him to the trading card section.. which looked like a haunted grave. The boy was going to give up and leave, but Hikaru brought out the cards that he wanted.

The boy (Minagawa Takurou) asked how much the box was. Hikaru, Digiko, and Puchiko all answered some crazy expensive amounts. Takurou said that he didn't have that much, and was going to leave. Then Hikaru and Digiko said that he can have the cards for free, as it keeps appearing in the store even they didn't order it (like the cards were haunted). Takurou was too scared and left.
